Description
A super, old Henry Disson & Sons Philadelphia crosscut hand saw, we believe this is the number 12 model.
The medallion is marked ‘H. Disston & Sons, Philada’
The saw is fitted with a decorative handle with beautiful chip carved foliage.
This is quite a scarce saw which we believe dates to late 1800’s – early 1900’s.
For general info about this tool, please see the Disston saw no. 12 review on FindMyTool.co.uk
TPI: 5 1/2
Blade length: 26″
Condition: the blade is straight, all teeth present, the saw would probably benefit from a sharpen, the top handle spur has at some point in its life come off and been glued back on (very common with these old saws), please see photos for condition.
