Farmtrac Splined Sleeve: #ESL10941
Function and PlacementIn the tractor’s mechanical disc brake assembly, the splined sleeve serves as the mounting hub for the brake discs.
- Torque Transmission: The internal splines of the brake discs (such as ESL10934) slide onto this sleeve. When the brakes are engaged, the friction created on the discs is transferred through the splined sleeve to the rear axle shaft to slow or stop the tractor.
- Axial Movement: The splined design allows the brake discs to slide slightly along the sleeve. This “floating” movement is necessary to ensure the discs are squeezed evenly by the brake actuator without binding.
CompatibilityAccording to official parts manuals, this splined sleeve is a standard component for several Farmtrac tractor series:
- Farmtrac 35, 45, and 60
- Farmtrac 435 and 535
- Farmtrac 545 and 555
