The Simonsen #1377-01 is a wheel drive tire and rim assembly used for the ground-drive system on Simonsen fertilizer spreaders. Unlike the main flotation tires that support the machine’s weight, this smaller assembly is part of the press-wheel drive mechanism that powers the conveyor apron or distributor fans based on ground speed. 

• Application: It is primarily used on Simonsen SMC series (e.g., SMC1754GD) and other ground-driven pull-type spreaders to ensure the application rate remains proportional to the travel speed.
• Components: The #1377-01 is a complete “Tire and Rim Assembly.” It consists of the individual tire (Part #1376-00) mounted on a specific wheel drive rim (Part #1377-00).
• Function: This “press-wheel” is engaged against the main tire to drive the internal chain or hydraulic system, allowing for consistent spreading without requiring a constant PTO speed.
