• Official Name: Split Wood Insert for No. 1390-00 Hanger Bearing.
• Design: It consists of two halves (a “split” design) made of specialized hardwood, typically oil-impregnated to provide self-lubrication for the rotating shaft.
• Function: It acts as the actual bearing surface inside the #1390-00 1″ Wooden Hanger Bearing with Housing. By using wood, the bearing can better handle the abrasive environment of fertilizer and lime dust, which would quickly destroy standard metal ball bearings.
• Compatibility: This insert is a standard part for the SMC series pulled spreaders, including models like the SMC1752, SMC1754, and SMC2064.
