A good example of an increasingly scarce early low knob Stanley Jointer Plane No. 8.

This lovely old Stanley plane has Rosewood handles including a bulbous low front knob. The plane is fitted with a Sweetheart ‘Stanley, SW, Made In USA’ cutter.

The lateral adjuster is marked ‘Pat 2-8-76, 10-21-84, 7-24-88 – Stanley’.

This plane we believe dates to 1888 – 1899.

Condition: all parts move freely, please see photos for condition.
